More Halloween Fun!

Happy Halloween Eve Everyone!
My family and I continue to enjoy having my parents in town. We are getting into the Fall Spirit by doing all sorts of fun things. I am sharing some more photos of our trip to the West Farm in Moncks Corner, SC, as well as some photos of Halloween treats I cooked up for the kids and the spooky bats Tucker, Molly and Payton made from mini pumpkins. I hope y'all have a wonderful Halloween! I'd like to close by sharing this cute little joke I received in my inbox this morning.

Make it a super day!

Three vampires walk into a bar.
"What can I get ya?" asks the bartender.
"Blood," orders the first vampire.
"Make it two," says the second.
The bartender looks at the third. "What about you, buddy?"
"Plasma," says the vampire.
"Okay," replies the barman. "Let me make sure I've got this straight. Two bloods and a blood light."
Happy Halloween! Enjoy the make-believe of this fun holiday.

My Parents!

Hello!
I have not posted in a few days. My parents are in town visiting for 2 weeks. They live in Connecticut (16 hours away from me down here in Charleston, SC-BooHoo). In fact they still live in the house I grew up in!
We have not seen each other since last Christmas so we were very excited for their arrival!
Here is a photo of my mom and I. She made me this adorable witch hat. I have some close up photos of the hat-they don't do justice to all the hand stitching my mother did on this fabulous decoration. I absolutely love it. Thanks Mom!

I have also posted a few photos of the Halloween pillowcases my mom made for Tucker, Molly and Payton. Are they not the cutest? Stan wanted to know why he didn't get one for our bed!!!

Anyway, the McGrew's are thrilled to have my parents in town.

We went to the farm on Sunday and have plans to carve pumpkins and go trick-or-treating on Saturday night. We have also been very busy painting my stamp room (it came out gorgeous!) and now we are moving everything back in. My Dad is amazed at all the "stuff" I have! I am actually planning to host a scrapbook/stamp sale in a few weeks. As I move back into my room I am putting product to the side that I no longer need and will be selling them so be sure to stay tuned for this magnificent sale extravaganza!
I will also post more photos and share more stories about our wonderful visit with my parents. I hate living so far from them but I LOVE having them visit. Life is always so much fun (even the things I hate to do) when they are around! And I love seeing my children get so excited and be so happy to just hang out with my mom and dad (I hope my grandchildren will feel the same way towards Stan and I!). They truly are the two most perfect people I know. They love life, they gave me a fabulous childhood and were excellent role models for me on how to be the best parent I can be!

Spooky Creations

Halloween is just 3 weeks away. My children have already planned out their costumes! The 3 of them are going as a rock band! We found great outfits for the girls on sale. I love them because the girls will be able to wear them to school once Halloween is over! I love when I can purchase outfits on sale that have dual purposes! Now we need to work on Tucker's costume. He's a creative kid and has it all planned out so it should come together fairly easy.
Today I am sharing several cards that I received in a swap I participated in. All four of these cards were created using NEW stamp sets showcased in the current Autumn/Winter Idea Book.
Hope they inspire you to make some hand stamped cards this Halloween holiday season!
Make it a great weekend!

Amy

More Cup Cake Cards!

Hello!
Here is a photo of the thank you cards I made for my daughter's birthday. I also made this birthday card for her. I know I have told you that I love the Close To My Heart "Cup Cake Sprinkles" stamp set (#D1336) before but...I just have to tell you again! I used primsa glitter and my "write & rub" pen on the frosting with these cards. It was so much fun creating these cards and bringing the cup cakes to life-it was almost as if i was actually baking real cup cakes! Only this was more fun because the cup cakes will last forever!
Several have emailed me asking how my surgery went. It went well. I am slowly getting back to normal. My mouth is still sore but I don't feel as "loopy" this morning from the pain medicine as I was feeling yesterday and Monday. I don't like that feeling at all!
Have a wonderful day!

October Stamp of the Month: Holiday Warmth

Happy October!

Oh My... the year is flying by! October is one of my favorite months of the year. I love to watch as the leaves slowly change colors, the air gets cooler and the nights become shorter.

October is when I start thinking about the holidays, too! And the October Stamp of the Month, "Holiday Warmth" (item #D1376) is the perfect stamp set to get all of us in the holiday mood.

Here is a card I created using this festive stamp set. I colored the tree in with my water color pencils (#3505) and blending pen ((#3174). I embellished the tree with the new Twinkle Brads (#Z1220). I love these fun little brads-they are perfect for all your projects all year through!

You can purchase the October stamp of the month at full price for just $22.95 before shipping and tax OR you can earn it at a disocunt or better yet FREE!

Place a $25 order and you can purchase the stamp set at a 25% discount ($17.21)!

Place a $50 order and you can receive a 50% discount ($11.48)!

Place a $75 order and receive a 75% discount ($5.74)

Or

Place a $100 order and receive it FREE OF CHARGE!

You can place your order right on my website (amy.myctmh.com) or you can call me and I will be happy to place the order for you!

Here are few more cards created using the "Holiday Warmth" Stamp Set. These cards were created by fellow CTMH consultants whom I participated in a card swap with. Enjoy!

On a different note-I am having surgery tomorrow morning at 10:45. I have to have a tooth implant. I am told that I will not be in the mood to do much of anything for at least the first 48 hours following the surgery, thus, if you do not hear from me for a few days, that is why! As soon as I am feeling better I will tell you all about my daughter, Payton's Cup Cake Birthday Party!

Amy
