CABOODLE!

I just love this kit! I have to be honest and share with you that when I saw it in the new Spring 2010 Idea Book it did not jump out at me as a kit I had to have. However, once the papers arrived (they are so much more yummy in real life than in the Idea book) and I began to play with the papers, colors and stamps it was instant love! The projects you see here were created by fellow consultant and dear friend, Chris Shouse. Later this week I will be posting photos of the layouts and cards I created for my March Clubs.
Have a wondersul day!

CHARLESTON SNOW!!!!

Miracles do happen! Yes, Charleston, SC got SNOW on Friday! The kids were sent home from school early (even before the snow started) and the entire Low Country was all anxious about what MIGHT come to visit.
It started snowing about 7:00 Friday night and continued on through the night. The kids played outside amd made snowmen and had a ball. Here is a photo of the snowman they made on Saturday morning.

Unfortunately I was not home to enjoy this small miracle. How ironic that I was out of town the one time is actually snows in Charleston. Those who know me, know I LOVE SNOW and this would have been such an awesome sight for me to see and experience with my family.

However, I was up in Columbia working as a vendor at a Stamp and Scrapbook show. The news said we had about 6-8 inches fall up in Columbia, SC (90 minutes North of Charleston) but it did not seem like that much to me. Here is a photo of me and my car on Saturday morning.

To all those who came to visit me at the Stamp Art Show...THANK YOU!!!!

It was a pleasure meeting many new friends and visiting with my exsiting friends!

Stan- The Birthday Man!

Yesteay was my hubby's birthday. I took him out for lunch and then last night after the girl dance classTucker, Molly, Payton and I celebrated with him together. Here are some photos of the fun we had. As you can see, we gave him a bike jesery which came all the way from New Zealand! We also gave him a new chair for camping and the beach. I think I might have to get Tucker, Molly and Payton a chair just like this one. They ALL said it is so very comfortable!

Payton was so proud of the card she created for her daddy. I guess the "apple doesn't fall far from the tree", eh?

What an amazing person Stan is. Not only is he the perfect husband but he is an awesome father, as well.

I made this card for Stan. I copied it directly from the Wishes book Close To My Heart offers in thier product line. This is a fabulous book. The ideas in it are AMAZING! And there are so many ideas...you could create a different card every day for an entire year and they would all be different! Not to mention all the tips and techniques it teaches you! If you do not already own your personal copy of "Wishes" or "Orginals" (our other card making "How To" book)-treat yourself today...in honor of Stan's birthday! You can order it directly from my website (amy.myctmh.com) or contact me. I will be happy to order it for you! the item number is #9033.

We hope you know just how much we appreciate you, Stan! And we hope you enjoyed your special day!

We Love you!

real life. real scrapbooks. real time

Happy Monday!
I know I have shared the new scrapbooking program that founder and CEO of Close To My Heart, Jeanette Lynton, is about to launch to all cusotmers in a few short months but if this is the first you are hearing about it...get EXCITED!
Studio J is a design software that you can use to create designer scrapbook layouts in minutes, ready to be custom printed for your cherished albums. I invite you to visit www.studioj.com to learn more about this amazing new program. There is no other program on the market and you are going to fall in love with it instantly!
In Studio J you will have several photo manipulations tools. Options include scale (zooming), filtering to create black and white or sepia, rotating, creating photo mats, and flipping horizontally and vertically.
For ease in working with My Stickease, the quick title tool assists you in aligning the letters. Just type your title and drag the group of letters to the right spot.
Toggle accents are pre-placed embellishments you can turn on or off by selecting or deselecting a checkbox. You can use toggle accents instead of, or in addition to, custom accents.
All the kits in Studio J include B&T Duos, coordinating cardstock, and My Stickease artwork working together to perfectly accent any layout you create from the kit. It's all there with the click of a mouse!
Here is a photo I took of an actual layout. There is a slight glare on the photo-sorry! You can see just how gorgeous Studio J is!
I am excited for you to give this amazing program a try.
If you are excited about this program and don't want to wait until the spring to give it a try, you can become a consultant and have total access to Studio J TODAY!!!!! And you will receive a great discount on your layouts for a limited time! Feel free to contact me today for details and/or if you have any questions!

Amy

More Valentine Treats

If you read the post I wrote on Friday you know about my "14 Days of Valentine's."

Here is a photo of the little boxes I created that are perfect for stuffing with 3-4 Ghiradelli Chocolate Squares. Ghiradelli Chocolate just happens to be my son, Tucker's favorite chocolate so I made this treat with him in mind!

Yesterday I made this chocoloate pizza for the kids. They gobbled it up in no time and wanted seconds and thirds!

It is super easy to make and you can add just about any kind of toppings you want. It makes a great seasonal dessert (green candies for St. Patricks Day, pastel candies for Easter, Red & Green candies for Chirsmtas, etc).

Here is the recipe (I actually got it from one of Molly's American Girl Books!):

Ingredients:

*4 cups mini marshmallows

*1/4 cup butter

*1 cup chocolate chips

Melt these ingredients in a microwavable bowl (I actully used a double broiler)

Stir in 6 cups Chocolate-Flavored Crisp rice Cereal (I used chocolate Rice Krispies)

Press mixture onto one large greased round pizza pan (I used a Pampered Chef pizza stone)

Melt 1 cup White Chocolate Chips. Use a fork to drizzle white chocolate over "crust," leaving a small edge. Add candies of your choice to the top.

When it is time to serve, cut with a pizza cutter into wedge-shpaed pieces. Enjoy with a glass of milk!

Three Speical Valentine's!

Happy Friday!

TGIF!
Boy! What a busy week it has been, what a busy 2 weeks it has been! I am looking forward to the weekend. We actually do not have anything that we "HAVE" to do. This does not happen often so when it does I really look forward to it!

Here is a photo of three of my very special Valentine's: Tucker, Molly and Payton. This photo was taken last summer on our annual "Camp McGrew" camping trip up in North Carolina.

Those of you who have been reading my blog for several months know that I did the "25 Days of Christmas" for my hubby, Stan, this past holiday season. Well, I had so much fun doing that so I decided to do the "14 Days of Valentine's" with the three little Valenitne's you see here! They are loving waking up each morning to find a little something by their breakfast dishes! These little surprsies are nothing major...just small 3 x 3 cards and treats. I rotate each day from a card to a treat and it is so much fun.

Here is a photo of the treat I gave them on February 1st. I filled skinny clear bags with red, white and pink plain M&M's and made a circle bag topper with my stamps and inks. Easy, Peasy and oh so fun!
Stay tuned to see more treats I surprise my Valentine's with throughout the next week!
ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND!
