I had so much fun creating the layouts for December.  The "Sparkle & Shine" kit and products that coordinate so nicely with it are SO VERY FUN!  I hope you like these layouts as much as I do!  Thank you, Karen Pederson, for your inspiration and sharing your creative ideas with me.  I so appreciate YOU!

Below you will find the shopping list and photos for our December projects.  Many have asked about holiday themed scrapbook layouts.  These classes and kits are open to EVERYONE-not just club members.  If you are interested in attending either the morning or evening class or purchasing the kit to go please let me know.  Registration is due on/before NOVEMBER 29th.

Classes will be held on THURSDAY, DECEMBER 12th 6:30-9:30 p.m. and MONDAY, DECEMBER 16th 9:30-12:30.

Classes are being held earlier in the month due to the holidays.  

Because we are meeting earlier in the month it is extremely important that I have your orders ON/BEFORE NOVEMBER 29th.  I have to place the orders on DECEMBER 1st or the products will not be arrive in time for our classes (and there is not other dates available to hold class in the month of December.  PLEASE look at the shopping list and photos and plan your order NOW.  As soon as you know what add-on products you want email me your order.  Payment is due no later than November 29th (thank you!).

I have been having so much fun creating holiday themed projects, as well as, gifts for loved ones.  I like to start early so I can take my time and enjoy the process, rather than rushing at the last minute, not enjoying the creative process and having my projects turn out to be not up to par.

This album is great to hold your favorite random photos, photos from a particular season or holiday or event such as a birthday party, a retirement party, a vacation, a bridal or baby shower, a day out with your friends, etc.

I created one highlighting our day down at the Farmer's Market while my parents were visiting.  It was such fun putting this together!  I actually printed my photos at the 4 x 4 size (Studio J is a great place to have your photos printed to the exact size you want!).  I then adhered them to a 6 x 4 piece of white daisy cardstock and then slide this into each page.

The possibilities to embellish the pages in this gem of an album are endless! I pretty much stuck with just the product that comes in the kit but boy oh boy... My head was spinning with ideas on how to enhance each page even more!

Putting an album like this together is so simple for kids of ALL ages!  My kids club is actually going to be working with this kit next month!

Picture My Life Scrapbook Program

I am so extremely excited about the scrapbook program Close To My Heart is coming out with on February 1st.  "Picture My Life" is the Close To My Heart version of Becky Higgins' "Project Life.  This form of scrapbooking so so do-able for anyone and everyone.  It is perfect for the individual who doesn't necessarily want to scrapbook but does want to have a tangible album full of marvelous memories (day to day, special occasions, etc) sitting on the coffee table or displayed nicely on a bookshelf.  It is the perfect system to use alongside your traditional scrapbook layouts or even your Studio J layouts!  I think these cards will go fantastic with the Close To My Heart Crush Books, too!

November Scrapbook Layouts

HAPPY NOVEMBER!!!!!

I hope y'all enjoyed a fun-filled Halloween!

It's November now and things tend to start getting a bit hectic and busy with Thanksgiving around the corner and then the holiday season.

I absolutely love this time of year.  I try hard during the month of November to take time out of my busy day and just "BE" and reflect on something (it can be anything) that I am grateful for.  This simple excersize can do wonders for my day.  Have you ever tried it?  I invite you to this month.

Several years ago I created a "Thankful Poster."  I put a white blank piece of paper in a 16 x 20 frame.  I collected an assortment of fun-color markers and placed them in a jar.  I left the frame and markers in our kitchen and encouraged my family to jot done things they are grateful for throughout the month of November.  I was pleased that my family got into it!  Our poster was filled with words and illustrations.  We hung the frame in our house and have all stopped to re-read our blessings from time to time.

I decide last night that we are going to do this activity again this month.

Perhaps you might want to invite your family to do the same?

I have lots of fun classes coming this month and even into early December.  I am hoping to help you create your holiday cards and perhaps some gifts and packaging a bit easier this year.  More info will be coming soon.
