APRIL SCRAPBOOK CLASS PROJECTS: LOLLYDOODLE

Happy Monday!

Last week I had fun creating with the Close To My Heart Lollydoodle Kit.  How fun this whimsical kit is.  I am THRILLED with how my layouts came out.  THANK YOU to dear friend, Karen Pederson, for sharing her talents and creativity with me.

Below you will see photos of the 3 layouts we will be creating on either THURSDAY EVENING, APRIL 17th 6:30-9:00 OR MONDAY MORNING, APRIL 28th 9:30-12:00.

You will also find the shopping list.  If you would like your layouts to look like mine I do recommend the extra cardstock sheets, the stickease, glitter paper and the chevon ribbon.

Kits are also available to go for those who are unable to attend the actual class. A postage fee will be added for any kits I have to mail.

I actually used the "No Limits" concept to get 12 x 12 prints.  I took quite a few photos of food when Stan and I were in Italy several years ago.  I decided to use several to frame and hang in our kitchen!  It is quite costly to print photos 12 x12 .  But with the March CTMH special I was able to purchase TWO 12 x 12 prints for just $5.00 (I think the regular price of $6.95 for two is quite reasonable, too!)!  I placed the prints in black frames and hung them in the kitchen.  I am THRILLED with how they look!

4. Choose 1 of 4 different Style Sheets OR you can send me a photo or image in jpg format* and I will reduce it for you and send you back a 1" x 1" print to use on your pendant.

BALLOON RIDE

My March scrapbook club/projects feature the NEW! Balloon Ride Kit and embellishments.  These papers are so much more beautiful in person than on the Idea Boo....and what fun it is to create with this kit and accessories!

The March classes are being held on MONDAY,MARCH 24th  9:30-12:30 and THURSDAY, MARCH 27th 6:30-9:30 p.m.

If you are unable to attend the actual class you are most welcome to purchase the kit to go and put the kit together at home.

I had some fun playing with the Photo Express Collection.  I wanted to use it for processing photos for my Picture My Life Album (this collection is PERFECT for the Picture My Life Collection).   I used the 3 x 4 horizontal and vertical photo page.

 I LOVE the Picture My Life System for preserving my every day moments.  I had some fun adding cork alphabets letters and stickease to the top of the protectors.

I did a quick little demo at scrapbook club this past Thursday.  The scrappers were intrigued with using Studio J as a photo processing system.  The Photo Express Collection is perfect for developing those odd size photos for your layouts.  I get asked over and over how and where I get my 2 x 2 , 3 x 3 , 3 x 4, ect. photos developed for layouts.  Studio J is the answer!  The quality is impeccable and the cost is much more affordable than purchasing the ink for my printer and the the high quality photo paper.  I hope that you will take a moment to visit my website and play on Studio J.  It is FREE to play.  Upload as many photos as you wish.  Create layouts 'till your heat's content.  You will only be charged for the actual layouts you decide to purchase.

EMBOSS IS BOSS!

Greetings!

I am so excited for the FedEx man to arrive later this week.  "Why, you ask?"  Because my new CTMH EMBOSSING FOLDERS will be in one of the boxes he drops off.  I have never played with embossing folders but after watching the video below...I can't start playing soon enough!  As I thumb through the pages of the new CTMH Spring/Summer Idea Book, I am getting so many IDEAS on how to put these folders into use as I play with my new (and old) CTMH stamp sets, papers and embellishments.

You will discover, as you watch the short video, just how easy it is to use the embossing folders.  You will need an embossing machine.  There are several on the market today, each at different price points.  The Sizzix Boutique, the Cuttlebug and The Big Shot to name a few.  The important thing to keep in mind is that you want the machine you choose to use can hold a 5 x 7 embossing folder.  That is the size of the CTMH folders.  Some companies make them smaller.  You will want to be sure ours will fit your machine. I love that the CTMH folders have a slit that allows you to just slide your paper through the folder once you have run it through your machine!

 Jo Ann Fabrics is currently having a sale.  If you don't already own an embossing machine and are in the market for one, you might want to take a look there.

It is super easy to use the embossing folders and machine.  You just put cardstock inside the folder. Put the folder in between the cutting pads and roll through the machine.  So Easy!  Use the embossing folders to add a texture background to a card front, add texture to Cricut shapes on scrapbook layouts, packages, home decor...so much FUN awaits with Embossing Folders!
