More Creative Fun With Ribbon!

A few weeks ago I shared an ice cream cone card I made using ribbon as the ice cream scoop. Today I would like to show you a card I created using the new BLUE COLLECTION Ribbon. Have I mentioned how much I love ribbon and how much I love CTMH newest ribbon collections?!

The blue flower you see here was created using item #Z1385 Blue Collection Designer Ribbon ($5.95) and the new Blue Assortment Button collection: #Z1371 ($5.95). The smaller flower was created using the new Pink Assortment Buttons (#Z1370). I used the new stamp set called "Fill In The BLanks (#D1465) for the flower stem. This stamp set is perfect for so many things! The tiny word stamps were perfect to create a flower stem!

I also stamped the honey cardstock to give it a bit of texture. I used one of the background stamps found in the "Two-Step Backgrounds" (#D1473) set and honey ink to stamp a tone-on-tone effect.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Top of the Morning To Ya!

I hope you all have a happy St. Patrick's Day! I always like to surprise my children with corny little treats on the holidays. This morning they woke up to a kitchen table dressed in green (I totally forgot to take a photo...what was I thinking? I guess I was NOT thinking at the time!) with this little package next to their cereal bowl. The colored licorice is supposed to represent a rainbow and the gold chocolate coins represent the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. It's amazing how far a little treat such as this can go to making a child's day! They also received a pocket-size hand sanitizer bottle- "Leprechaun flavor" (from Bath & Body Works) and a new little carrying case for it...green of course! All three of my kids love these little hand sanitizers that Bath & Body Works carries. I think they have actually starting collecting them! I have a few other surprises for them upon their arrival home from school this afternoon. I will try to remember to take photos and share with y'all!

Kids can create too!

This past Sunday I had our 2nd Kids Paper Crafting Class. Molly and Payton formed this class about a month ago. They each invite a handful of friends to come participate in a fun, simple craft project. This month the girls embellished their own journals and made corner bookmarks. Fun was had by all! We love the blank journals that Close To My Heart sells (#Z1268). This journal comes with 75 unlined pages and a 7 x 5 pocket on the front cover which is perfect for decorating any way you wish! The girls were given a sheet of the "Lots of Dots" adhesive-baked alphabet stickease (#Z1261). These stickers are so fun because you can color them any way you want and white polka dots shine through once you are done coloring them!
