Splendor Memories

Oh how I LOVE the new "Splendor" My Reflections Kit in the Summer 2010 Close To My Heart Idea Book! This layout was inspired by fellow consultant, Dana Kessler. I made a few changes to make it my own and I am thrilled with how it turned out! I have been using this paper pack for so many projects this month and having so much fun!

My June scrapbook club gals created this layout, along with two others this month. I love how a handful of club members make changes to their layouts to make it their own. They are so creative! I always learn so much from them.

Next month we will be creating layouts using the new "Zipidee" Kit. this kit speaks FUN just like the "Splendor" kit! I look forward to sharing the layouts with you soon!

Here are some photos of the birthday gift I made for my daughter, Payton, to take to her friend's party last week. The party was a pool theme so Payton picked out a fun flip flop towel, sun glasses, sand pail and water bottle. We got some flip flops and water balloons and embellishend the flip flops. Payton's friend loved her gift!

Teacher Gifts

My children finished school almost two weeks ago-hard to believe...even the summer is passing by quickly! Anyway, here are the gifts I made for Molly and Payton's teacher's. Payton's teacher loves bumble bees. We found this cute oversized teacup and saucer at Michael's. It is actually supposed to be a planter but we decided to fill it with some fun paper products! We created notecards and embellished a tin to hold the notecards and then we decorated one of the Close to my Heart My Creations Journals (I LOVE these journals!) and stuck that in the cup, as well.

Molly picked out the blue and green tea cup with the butterflies. We made notecards and a tin and another journal for her teacher.

It was a fun gift to make and very affordable!
