Some Studio Scrapbooking

TGIF!
This week I was able to get about 8 pages created in Studio J.  I always create an album for my parents filled with all the treasured memories we create each year during the holidays.  Studio J is the perfect scrapping system to use for this project because I can order 2 of each layout-one set for my parents and a set for my family!  Once CTMH gave scrappers Studio J,  I have been able to create my holiday albums each year-all within the 30 days following Christmas Day.  I am still working o the layouts for all those holidays prior to the arrival of Studio J.  At this point-I am thinking about just creating as many Christmas pasts in Studio J that I can!

I know I have mentioned this before, but I have fallen in love with Studio J as a photo processing center, too.  Ever since CTMH added the "No Limits" Concept to all the man tother patterns, I have been using that particular concept to process photos I want in the not so popular sizes, as well as the most common sizes.  I love the ability to add text to my photos, too.  Thanks to Studio J we can all do that now!

I invite you to my Catalog Preview Party next Saturday, February 1st 1-3:00.  Not only will I be sharing the new CTMH 2014 Spring/Summer Idea Book and some of the the new product, but I will also be sharing a Studio J tutorial-sharing tricks like how to incorporate the CTMH exclusive flip flaps to your Studio J layouts, using Studio J as a photo processing center AND introducing you to the "Pocket Scrapbooking" System-the CTMH Way!  Come one-Come All!  It will be a fun-filled two hours!  Please feel free to bring family and friends!

Here are the layouts I created thus far.  You will see the "Off Limits" concept filled with several photos in various sizes (several are upside down!).  My plan is to cut these photos and add them to page protectors and flip flaps (a very favorite product of mine!).

Enjoy and have a Wonderful Weekend!

Simple Scallops

Greetings!

I have had so much fun playing with the NEW Close To My Heart Scallop Punch- item #Z1851.  Click HERE.  This punch makes creating 12 inch long borders so easy because it has a fabulous guide that shows you exactly where to place your paper.  There is also a nice "catch all" compartment on the backside where all the scrap punches fall.  You open up the little flap and dump all your scraps right into the garbage.  Easy Peasy!

Here is a card I made over the weekend.  I used the punch to make my scallop border on the Cotton Candy Cardstock.  If you look closely you just might see a NEW Product(s) that will be available FEBRUARY 1st...that is just 2 weeks away!!!

I used the Artbooking Cartridge to cut the "HELLO".  I cut this in whisper grey and with the black glitter paper (LOVE the glitter paper!).  I created the "shadow" look by adhering the whisper "hello" and then off-setting the glitter paper "hello" and adhering that with the 3-D foam tape.  This gives the card a nice 3-D appearance (it looks like it was tricky to do but it is SO.SO, SIMPLE!).  I used the black journaling pen to add the squiggly lines.

Here is a short but informative video about the scallop punch.  Take a peek so you can see it in action!

A Fun and Unique Way to Use...

Last week I sat down and went through the Idea book looking at some of the product I have yet to create with.  I love the Designed Decor Flip Stand Album HERE that came out in the Autumn/Winter Idea book this past August.  There are several projects I want to create with this innovative product.  Here is one of them- a post-it note center!  This simple,come-together-quickly project was super fun and makes the BEST gifts!  Who wouldn't love to receive THIS at any time of the year!  I used scraps from the National Scrapbook Month Exclusive Paper Pack last May to embellish the frame.  I used "Pixie Glitter Alphabet" stickers (#Z1776) HERE to create the title.  I added a dimensional element from the "Album Pages" pack (#Z1791) HERE, some retired paper flowers, a sparkle, a post-it note pad and a pen to complete the project.  I think I know what my Valentine Gifts are going to be this year!
